Job Description:

Summary

The Corporate Security Manager is responsible for providing assistance to field locations in the recognition, assessment and control of security risks. The position supports both Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) and Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) locations within their geographic scope, as well as new business start-ups and office/administrative locations.


Essential Functions

  • Evaluate security issues at field locations and recommend effective solutions
  • Conduct investigations and provide guidance and support to field operations to find root causes of thefts, frauds or other acts of violence in the workplace
  • Assist Corporate Audit and Compliance with internal investigations
  • Design and implement effective security systems for new start-ups and existing field locations
  • Monitor and track performance of field locations and provide performance updates to the operational leadership teams and the Sr. Manager Corporate Security
  • Identify poor performing operations and non-compliance issues and ensure that corrective actions are in place to achieve desired performance. Manage, improve and monitor compliance with Ryder and customer security requirements
  • Monitor new business start-up activity and provide support to new customer start-ups in the design and implementation of effective security processes and management
  • Provide security training programs for the field operations and coach field location managers in improving security performance
  • Act as liaison with local law enforcement in the investigation, arrest and prosecution of individuals committing crimes against Ryder
  • Impact bottom line by reducing the company's cost of risk and cost of stolen goods

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications as well as the use of on-line web based services Advanced, Required


Travel - 20% - 30% (remote otherwise)

Compensation Information:
