Job Description

YOUR UPCOMING CHALLENGES:

Procurement Management:

  • Identify the company’s needs for indirect goods and services and translate them into clear specifications. Evaluate potential suppliers and select those that offer the best terms in terms of quality, cost, and delivery time.
  • Contract Negotiations:
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable purchasing terms, such as competitive prices, favorable payment terms, and quality guarantees. Ensure that contracts comply with applicable regulations and company policies.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with selected suppliers. Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery times, and after-sales service. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve any supplier-related issues.

Cost Optimization:

  • Continuously seek opportunities for savings and cost reductions without compromising the quality of purchased goods and services. Implement procurement optimization initiatives, such as consolidating orders, standardizing specifications, and streamlining the supplier base.
Qualifications

THE SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR TO TAKE US FURTHER:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in the field.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement techniques, contract negotiations, and procurement regulations.
  • Proficiency with IT tools, particularly procurement management software (ERP—Oracle NetSuite) and spreadsheets for data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions aligned with company objectives.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) (frequent contact with parties outside Quebec).
  • Dynamic, thorough, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of the electronics industry (a plus)
