Remote Unity 3D Developer information

What does a remote Unity 3D developer do?

A Remote Unity 3D Developer is a software professional who creates interactive 3D applications, games, simulations, or visualizations using the Unity engine, while working from a location outside of a traditional office. Their responsibilities include writing C# scripts, designing and optimizing 3D environments, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with other team members using online tools. They often participate in the entire development process, from concept to deployment, ensuring that the final product runs smoothly across multiple platforms. Effective communication and time management skills are essential for success in a remote setting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote Unity 3D developer?

To thrive as a Remote Unity 3D Developer, you need strong proficiency in C#, Unity engine, 3D mathematics, and a relevant degree or equivalent experience in computer science or game development. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, 3D modeling workflows, and knowledge of platforms such as Android, iOS, or VR/AR devices are typically required. Excellent problem-solving, self-motivation, and effective remote communication skills help you collaborate efficiently with distributed teams. These competencies are crucial for building high-quality interactive experiences and ensuring smooth project delivery in a remote work environment.

How does a remote Unity 3D developer typically collaborate with artists and designers on a distributed team?

As a Remote Unity 3D Developer, collaboration with artists and designers is usually facilitated through project management tools, version control systems, and regular virtual meetings. You’ll often use platforms like Slack, Trello, or Jira for task coordination, and tools like Git or Perforce for managing changes to code and assets. Clear communication is essential to ensure everyone is aligned on project goals, and you may participate in daily or weekly stand-ups to discuss progress and address any blockers. This structure helps maintain a smooth workflow despite team members being in different locations.

Job description

Manufacturing Design Engineer

Job Type: Contractor
Location: Remote

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Manufacturing Design Engineers to contribute to an advanced mechanical design and manufacturing project. In this role, you will apply your engineering expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world design input.

You will use FreeCAD or similar parametric CAD platforms to create, document, review, and validate production-ready mechanical components and assemblies. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong mechanical design, manufacturing, CAD validation, and technical documentation experience.

No prior AI experience is required—your engineering expertise and domain knowledge are what matter most.

Scope of Work
  1. Create and modify detailed parametric 3D CAD models of mechanical components and assemblies using FreeCAD or comparable CAD software.

  2. Develop comprehensive engineering drawings, including GD&T, dimensional requirements, and tolerance stack-ups, suitable for manufacturing handoff.

  3. Design components for manufacturing processes including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, plastics, and injection molding.

  4. Perform CAD validation and quality assurance reviews to verify model accuracy, design intent, and production readiness.

  5. Prepare clear technical documentation, design notes, and assembly instructions for use as high-quality reference materials.

  6. Review and incorporate feedback from technical reviewers to improve CAD models, drawings, and supporting documentation.

  7. Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and manufacturable.

  8. Identify and resolve modeling, dimensional, assembly, and manufacturability issues before production handoff.
