Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to understand each client's mental health needs, develop clinical diagnoses, and collaboratively establish personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions using tailored evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others that best meet client goals.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and appropriate follow-up.
• Document all clinical records, including treatment plans and progress notes, maintaining confidentiality and adherence to ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to promote holistic care and support for clients.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health challenges, coping strategies, treatment options, and community resources, advocating for clients' rights as needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and continued education to stay current with best practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, each dealing with unique mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. Understanding the specific needs of diverse backgrounds and cultures is essential, as you aim to provide culturally competent services that empower clients to thrive.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in California.
• A Master's or Doctorate in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with a minimum of two years of related experience in a mental health setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in client interactions.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a cohesive team environment.
• Commitment to ethical and professional standards, demonstrating integrity in practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a clinical setting, particularly with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and platforms.

Compensation and Benefits
