Rising Phoenix Counseling Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Trauma-Focused Mental Health Counselor to join our team. Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and individuality in your work schedule. Our telehealth platform enables seamless communication with clients while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations. You will enjoy the freedom to set your own hours and manage a caseload of up to 25 clients per week. Rising Phoenix Counseling provides the necessary technology and support for a productive virtual work environment, ensuring that you can focus on what matters most—helping your clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, evaluating client needs and developing effective treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring safety and stability for clients during challenging moments.
• Maintain consistent client sessions, conducting therapy for individuals, couples, families, and adolescents, using evidence-based practices.
• Engage in regular consultation and collaboration with fellow counselors to share insights, seek supervision, and ensure continuity of care.
• Employ therapeutic techniques such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) in clinical practice to address trauma-related issues.
• Make critical, ethically-grounded decisions about treatment that prioritize client needs and well-being.
• Document session notes and treatment interventions efficiently while upholding confidentiality standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client base, focusing primarily on adults, adolescents, and families dealing with trauma, PTSD, and related mental health issues. Your expertise in trauma-informed practices will be pivotal in helping clients rebuild their lives, fostering a sense of agency and self-efficacy. Rising Phoenix Counseling is dedicated to understanding the unique experiences of each client, allowing for personalized therapeutic approaches that resonate with their specific life circumstances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Active license as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Social Worker (LCSW), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and digital record-keeping practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a remote telehealth environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in trauma and PTSD counseling, particularly with adults, children/adolescents, and couples/families.
• Familiarity with EMDR and IFS therapeutic techniques.
• Previous work in a telehealth setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
