Job description

Vice President, Structured Product Sales
The Advisors Asset Management Structured Products Specialist will work within our Distribution Division which will be a team environment focusing on new and existing client relationships to increase sales among our growing product lines across all asset classes. This sales specialist position will require strong collaboration with our internal and external wholesalers and will also provide exceptional customer service and financial services advice to client firms and its advisors.
Territory Available (must reside in territory): Southern California
Compensation: Base + Commission; estimated total compensation range $250,000-$300,000 annually
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides focused sales services to client firm representatives (financial advisors) in Structured Products (Market Linked Products)
  • Profile financial advisors to obtain information that will assist the client in reaching stated objectives
  • Wholesale and Distribute Structured Products to Broker Dealers amp; RIA’s across the United States
  • Maintain current knowledge of all markets and AAM analytics and market commentaries
  • Work with Structured Products Trading amp; Origination to create new products and custom transactions for advisors
  • Securities research, economic reports, and trend forecasting
  • Create presentations to educate financial advisors on Market Linked CDs amp; Market Linked Notes
  • Using AAM provided tools, complete and present portfolio analytics to assist clients
  • Position client portfolios to capitalize on current and upcoming market cycle conditions
  • Provide exceptional customer service and financial services advice consistent with the client objectives
  • Meet stated production goals as determined by the Sales Manager; Phone, Email, Meeting amp; Conference Metrics
  • Travel Required 50-75%
  • Work within a Team Territory at AAM by providing leads internally to help grow other products distributed by AAM
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Driven and goal-oriented, focused on success
  • Demonstrated abilities in time management; including, managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and group presentation skills
  • Mathematical aptitude and skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with individuals at remote locations
  • Proven experience working collaboratively, improving productivity, and implementing ideas
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Power BI, Bloomberg
  • Internet, Salesforce amp; CRM application systems
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 yrs+ experience in the Financial Services Industry, Wholesale Distribution, or Relationship Management
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Required Certifications: FINRA Series 7 amp; 66
  • In depth knowledge of Structured Products and Fixed Income Sales
  • Strong Financial Markets acumen
