Position Overview

Atlas Psychological and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to become a part of our team. This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to provide specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, ensuring they receive the highest level of support during their healing journey. You will play a vital role in fostering resilience and recovery for our clients facing challenges such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment

This position is designed for remote work, providing you with the flexibility to manage your own workspace while engaging in meaningful interactions with clients. Our work setting emphasizes collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. With a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be needed to accommodate the varying needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, strengths, and treatment needs.
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions and track patient progress toward recovery.
  • Deliver various therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patient’s specific circumstances.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and facilitate healing.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to guarantee holistic care for patients.
  • Offer crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families about understanding trauma, enhancing coping mechanisms, and utilizing available resources effectively.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in adherence to ethical standards and legal guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and embrace continuing education opportunities focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy, ensuring your practice remains effective and informed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve guiding individuals who have suffered trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Understanding the nuances of each client’s experiences will be critical as you provide tailored support and create an encouraging atmosphere for recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
  • Demonstrated experience with trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Strong communication skills, allowing for a compassionate, non-judgmental approach in therapist-client interactions.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and effectively manage crisis scenarios.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately.
  • A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care for our clients.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
