  • Develop tailored treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience, ensuring each approach is personalized according to the patient's needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and build effective coping mechanisms.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma treatment to improve your professional practice continually.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients who have experienced significant trauma and require support in overcoming emotional and psychological challenges. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and experiences of these individuals will be crucial in delivering effective care. Through your expertise, you will help patients reclaim their lives and promote resilience and healing.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity in all interactions.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress or urgent situations.
  • Proficient in electronic health record management and virtual communication tools.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience working with trauma-affected clients.
  • Direct experience employing trauma-focused therapies and interventions in clinical settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team context.
