Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, providing flexibility while allowing you to work effectively in a supportive virtual environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, enabling effective treatment planning.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience, and personal growth, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Implement evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Deliver therapeutic support, helping patients navigate their trauma narratives, establish coping strategies, and embark on their healing journey.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a comprehensive, integrated approach to client care.
  • Provide crisis intervention to clients facing acute challenges related to their trauma.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, empowering them with knowledge to aid their recovery.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential patient documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
  • Actively participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops concentrated on trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay informed on the latest research, methodologies, and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. As part of your role, you will work with diverse populations, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Building trusting relationships is essential in fostering an environment where healing can thrive.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders, treatment methodologies, and recovery-focused practices.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, enhancing your ability to manage client information effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills delivered with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting specializing in trauma-informed care.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused services and therapies, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT.
  • Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure in high-stress situations typical in mental health settings.
  • Experience working closely with diverse, multidisciplinary teams, emphasizing collaborative practice.
Compensation and Benefits
