Allegiance Mental Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a focus on trauma recovery to join our remote team. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Allegiance Mental Healthcare, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and unique needs.
  • Creating individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and personal growth.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions that support patients in processing their trauma, building coping strategies, and fostering healing.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to provide integrated care and address all aspects of patient well-being.
  • Providing crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies or challenges, ensuring patients feel safe and supported.
  • Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and treatment resources available in the community.
  • Maintaining confidential and accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in trauma therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary client focus is on individuals who have experienced trauma and are struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work with diverse populations, including adults, adolescents, and families, each bringing their unique experiences and challenges. Your role will be critical in helping patients navigate their trauma journeys and promote healing and resilience.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a preference for those with specialized training in trauma-informed care.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and approaches focused on resilience-building.
Preferred Experience

Although not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will enhance your candidacy:

  • Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is essential.
