In this full-time remote role, you will provide critical mental health services to students with a wide range of special needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma-related issues.

Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend duties as needed.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students presenting various special needs, ensuring a holistic understanding of each individual’s situation.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans focused on mental health improvement and successful adaptation to the school environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote student well-being.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of students with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma experiences.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to encourage personal development, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies among students.
• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and maintaining composure under pressure.
• Instruct students and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources, fostering a supportive and educational environment.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in line with legal and ethical requirements, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case conferences, contributing to a collaborative approach to student care that enhances teamwork and insights.
• Keep abreast of relevant mental health laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance and the provision of high-quality care.

As a member of our Mental Health Team, you will be primarily working with students with diverse special needs, engaging closely with their families. By tailoring your therapeutic techniques to address each student’s specific challenges, you will play a significant role in improving their mental health outcomes and overall academic life.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in the state of Georgia.
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders and the ability to apply evidence-based treatment modalities and trauma-informed care principles.
• Proficient in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment plans.
• Strong skills in delivering individual and group therapy using diverse therapeutic approaches tailored to client needs.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with students, families, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention abilities and calmness under pressure.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in using digital communication tools.
• A collaborative mindset, with an eagerness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to student care.

While two years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting is required, candidates with additional experience working within educational environments or with special needs populations are highly preferred. Your practical experience will enable you to contribute effectively to our program and the initiatives we undertake to support our students.
