We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team at Thrive Mental Health Counseling Clinic. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to provide critical mental health support to individuals struggling with trauma-related issues, ensuring their path to recovery and resilience.

About the Organization

Thrive Mental Health Counseling Clinic is a pioneering outpatient facility headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, specializing in trauma-informed care. We are deeply committed to fostering an ethical and welcoming environment for trauma survivors. Our mission centers around innovative therapeutic interventions, including evidence-based practices, to effectively address conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, providing flexibility for our mental health therapists to work from home and maintain a healthy work-life balance. You will engage directly with clients through our Telehealth platform, ensuring a comfortable and accessible means for them to receive care. Our team thrives on collaboration, utilizing digital tools to enhance the therapeutic process and maintain integrated patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments, carefully evaluating clients' histories and identifying suitable therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience, and long-term strategies for mental well-being.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques to help patients process their trauma, strengthen coping skills, and encourage holistic healing.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients, tailoring approaches based on unique needs.
  • Respond to crises and provide immediate support during trauma-related situations, demonstrating a calm demeanor while guiding clients toward resolution.
  • Educate clients and their families on the dynamics of trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.
  • Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of client records.
  • Participate in case consultations and regular team meetings to promote clinical excellence and adhere to trauma-informed care principles.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic prides itself on serving a diverse clientele, specifically focusing on individuals affected by trauma. This includes survivors of abuse, accidents, natural disasters, and other distressing events. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals navigate their experiences, providing them with the tools they need to regain control and lead fulfilling lives.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions to varied patient populations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
  • Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations, contributing positively to patient outcomes.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to assist in effective practice management.
  • Collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to a multidisciplinary team dynamic.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is essential, candidates with backgrounds in trauma therapy, specifically those who have conducted group therapy and crisis intervention, will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with the latest therapeutic tools and methodologies relevant to trauma counseling is highly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and USD 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, ensuring your well-being.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to secure your future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind in your practice.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, fostering your growth and advancement.
