Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' past experiences and healing needs.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, fostering coping mechanisms, and promoting emotional resilience.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring they receive the immediate assistance they need.
  • Educate patients and their families about the impact of trauma, coping strategies, and available resources for further support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in line with all legal and ethical guidelines to uphold the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on individuals who have faced trauma, including survivors of abuse, military veterans, and others coping with PTSD and complex trauma. At Resolute Counseling, we aim to address the complex interplay between mental health and traumatic experiences, ensuring that our therapeutic approaches are sensitive to the nuanced needs of each client. Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure professional experience in a mental health setting.
