Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary point of contact for families, facilitating communication and fostering trust through proactive engagement.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions based on our structured clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy, adapting interventions as necessary to meet client needs effectively.
  • Conduct Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups, creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, contact notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to established clinical standards.
  • Utilize tools like Microsoft Word, Outlook, and EMR systems to enter and manage client data systematically and efficiently.
  • Participate actively in weekly treatment team meetings and clinical supervision sessions, enhancing team cohesion and improving therapeutic strategies.
  • Represent Sunrise Counseling Services at meetings, training sessions, and conferences, showcasing our commitment to professional growth and community engagement.
  • Independently manage your schedule to ensure that goals and tasks are accomplished efficiently, promoting overall client satisfaction.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with adolescents and young adults facing a variety of challenges including mental health concerns, family issues, trauma, and behavioral difficulties. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited or state-approved graduate institution is required.
  • Current board registration (APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or equivalent in the state of Maryland is necessary.
  • Proven experience in providing individual, family, or group therapy to adolescents and young adults is mandatory, ensuring an understanding of the unique dynamics involved in this age group.
