Position Overview

The Tarrant Post-Acute Care Practice Center is looking for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. As a vital member of our community health clinic, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals facing trauma-related challenges by providing high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

This remote role offers a supportive and flexible work setting where mental health professionals can thrive. Our practice operates Monday to Sunday from 7 AM to 10 PM, ensuring a wide range of scheduling options to accommodate both our team members and the patients we serve. You will have the independence of working from home while also having access to team support for scheduling and client services, which extends our operational hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients' trauma history and formulate tailored treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and promote resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.
• Facilitate both one-on-one and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma, enhance coping skills, and foster healing.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other professionals to create a comprehensive care network for patients.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources within our clinic and the larger community.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions while complying with all relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development activities specifically focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in trauma therapy to provide optimal treatment and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing trauma—isolation or distress resulting from various life events. This may include victims of abuse, natural disasters, or other significant stressors. Your expertise will be crucial in offering tailored treatments that resonate with each client's unique history, empowering them to regain control over their lives and promoting overall mental well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid LCPC license in the state of Maryland.
• A strong foundation of knowledge regarding trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology applications.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach towards clients.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of post-licensure experience preferred.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that address complex trauma.
• A desire to engage with a diverse patient population, including different age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• A commitment to completing clinical documentation and notes within 24 hours of each session.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. We offer guaranteed pay with annual increases, sign-on bonuses, paid orientation, and various opportunities for professional development, including Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
