  • Utilize evidence-based therapies, like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective treatment interventions.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to help clients process their trauma experiences and develop healthy coping strategies.
  • Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clientsโ€™ safety and well-being.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them for further support.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client progress, adhering strictly to legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss effective strategies for providing trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, counselors may work with a highly diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced various forms of trauma. Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience working with trauma cases is preferred.
  • A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental approach towards clients and their families.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.

Preferred Experience
