Position Overview

Touchstone Therapy Center is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a full-time Mental Health Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized mental health care to individuals impacted by trauma. Your expertise will be utilized in developing personalized treatment plans that facilitate healing and resilience, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments for clients, evaluating their trauma history to tailor appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping skill development.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting healing.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.
  • Respond to crisis situations by providing timely intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources to reinforce their support networks.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate patient records.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Touchstone Therapy Center, you will work closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals facing the fallout from various traumatic experiences. Clients often present with PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, and other trauma-related conditions. Our client-centric approach emphasizes individualized care and understanding each patient's unique experiences and challenges associated with their trauma.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.
  • A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
  • Capability to manage high-stress situations while remaining calm and composed, ensuring the emotional support of clients.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in trauma-focused therapy is preferred, showcasing a proven track record in effective patient care.
  • Experience with various trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and models.
  • Prior experience working in a collaborative team environment, demonstrating the ability to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary setting.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
