EisnerAmper is seeking a Sr. Manager - Grants Management in our Government Services Practice. This role is ideal for someone who brings significant expertise in federal grant management and a proven track record of managing teams and multiple complex projects at a federal agency, state agency or a consulting firm. The role will involve leading client engagements, driving business development through opportunity identification, market and client strategy development, proposal creating, and internal and external relationship development. Candidates with experience in State and local governments, tribal governments, healthcare, nonprofit entities, and grant writing are strongly preferred. The position will provide leadership and mentorship to consulting team members and deliver business objectives and initiatives of the Firm.
Note: this could be either a fully remote or hybrid role, if you are located near one of our local offices.

What Work You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Lead grants management projects, including planning, execution, and delivery

  • Supervise and mentor project teams to support quality outcomes and professional growth

  • Drive revenue through new and incremental growth of current and prospective clients.

  • Manage the team through all phases of a program including strategic planning, work planning, mobilization, execution, and completion, consistent with established program delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other contract requirements.

  • Manage client situations; identifies and interprets federal regulations (Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200)) and use knowledge and experience to determine method of project implementation.

  • Actively engage in business development activities such as participating at conferences, responding to request for proposals, including the identification and review of funding opportunities, identifying potential teaming partners, and development of proposals.

  • Support clients in grant application processes, including research and grant writing activities.

  • Lead and participate in proposal writing teams including technical writing and coordinating submissions.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients across state and local governments, tribal governments, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors

  • Lead internal and external knowledge management through training, insight articles, publications, and webinar participation in the grants management space.

  • Perform supervisory responsibilities of a team including serving as a performance career coach to staff, provide prompt feedback to Directors and Partners regarding staff performance, and complete annual staff evaluations.

  • May be required to occasionally work extended hours, or travel/to work from different firm offices and/or client locations.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred)

  • 10+ years of successful federal grant management experience

  • At least 5+ years of experience directly leading/managing federal grants projects in a consulting or advisory practice

  • 5+ years supervisory experience and proficiency in project management principles

  • Business and proposal development experience

Preferred or Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree

  • Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS), Grant Professional Certification (GPC), Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are preferred.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Uniform Guidance policies and processes

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative, and continuously changing environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in business and technical environments and within a diverse group of individuals.

  • Ability to perform effectively, efficiently and with quality under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

  • Possess a high degree of professionalism including the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.

  • Experience managing multiple projects with varying size and scope

  • Experience with pre-award, post-award, and closeout processes for federal grants

  • Grant writing experience with federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial agencies

  • Strong policy background, including 2 CFR 200 compliance requirements

  • Experience working with tribal governments, healthcare organizations, and nonprofit entities

  • Ability to identify funding opportunities and understand grant application guidelines

  • Ability to contribute to thought leadership through webinars, conferences, or publications

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines

  • Familiarity with using and building tools in AI systems such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT

For Minnesota, Colorado and Illinois, the expected salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $165,000.
