Job Brief
The Project Manager - TCP Permits is responsible for helping with many of the duties surrounding project management.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager - TCP Permits is responsible for helping with many of the duties surrounding project management. As the name implies, they look after the administrative duties associated with the project such as closely working with members of the project team and stakeholders, facilitating quick and productive internal meetings, assisting with procurement activities, and helping to prepare project documents and reports. We are looking for someone local to Fort Wayne, IN, Snohomish, WA or San Antonio TX. Position is hybrid requiring at least 2 days in office.
Job Responsibilities:
• Continuously update and manage project progress/status reports
• Maintain full-time availability for 8-hour workdays
• Demonstrate professionalism, comfort, and confidence in phone communications, engaging with various governing jurisdictions
• Proficiently organize and update tracker information using Excel documents
• Skillfully craft and send professional emails for both internal and external communication
Skills/Experience Required:
• Eagerness to acquire proficiency in new software applications and proactively seek guidance when needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel
• Quick learning aptitude to adapt swiftly
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Proficient English language abilities for effective communication with clients and governing jurisdictions
• Proficiency in multitasking efficiently
Skills/Experience Desired:
• Proficient in managing all facets of the permitting process, including compiling jurisdiction-required documentation, completing application forms, facilitating client collaboration, submission, follow-up, and processing permits received
• Seasoned familiarity with Sitetracker
• Familiarity in drafting TCPs (Traffic Control Plans) with a functional understanding of their design principles
• Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) with a proven ability to accurately identify jurisdictional boundaries
• Experienced in working with utility maps, comprehending their purpose, integration within plans, and the process to obtain them from governing authorities
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
• Requires passing a background check
This position requires the physical ability to:
• Stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard
• Viewing a computer screen due to computer work
• Lift light to moderate weights may be required
