Creative Director, Design (Experiential / B2B Events)
Location: Remote (U.S.-based) | Travel as needed
Salary: $150,000 – $180,000
Reports to: VP, Creative & Production


About the Role

Bishop-McCann is looking for a Creative Director, Design to help lead and elevate our creative output across B2B events, meetings, and incentive experiences.

This is a hands-on creative leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of big ideas and strong design craft. You’ll guide concept development, shape visual storytelling, and ensure that every experience feels intentional, cohesive, and impactful—from early strategy through final execution.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the next chapter of the agency’s creative evolution, including contributing to an upcoming rebrand and helping define how creativity shows up across all client work.


What You’ll Lead
  • Large-scale B2B events, conferences, general sessions, and incentive programs

  • Experience branding, environmental design, and presentation storytelling

  • Creative direction across live, hybrid, and integrated experiences


What You’ll DoCreative Direction & Design Leadership
  • Lead the creative vision across multiple experiential programs

  • Guide concept development from idea through execution

  • Ensure all work meets a high standard of design excellence, clarity, and storytelling

  • Actively contribute to design work when needed—this is a hands-on role, not purely oversight


Strategic Partnership
  • Partner with strategy and account teams to translate client goals into creative direction

  • Lead or participate in discovery sessions and creative brief development

  • Ensure creative ideas align with business objectives and audience needs


Client Engagement & Presentation
  • Present creative ideas and design thinking to senior client stakeholders

  • Clearly articulate the “why” behind creative decisions

  • Build trust and confidence through strong storytelling and communication


Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of designers

  • Provide clear, actionable feedback that elevates the work

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing creative culture

  • Build and manage a network of freelance design talent


New Business & Agency Growth
  • Lead creative for RFP responses and pitch work

  • Partner cross-functionally to translate ideas into compelling presentations

  • Contribute to the Bishop-McCann rebrand and ongoing creative evolution


Process & Innovation
  • Help evolve creative processes, tools, and workflows

  • Integrate new approaches, including emerging technology, where it enhances the work

  • Raise the bar for how creativity is delivered across the agency


What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of creative experience, with a strong focus on experiential design and live events

  • 5+ years in a creative leadership role within an agency environment

  • Deep B2B event experience is required (conferences, general sessions, meetings, incentive programs)

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and high-level design craft

  • Experience leading and mentoring designers at multiple levels

  • Proven ability to present creative work to senior clients

  • Strong understanding of experience branding, environmental design, and presentation storytelling

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across strategy, production, and account teams


Nice to Have
  • Experience contributing to or leading a brand or agency rebrand

  • Exposure to integrating technology, digital, or interactive elements into live experiences
