Job Summary:
This position supports the mission and vision of Mountain Springs Church (MSC) and is responsible for delivering a high level of hospitality to attenders and guests of MSC. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, yet creative and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial team environment that is mission-driven, people-oriented, and fast-paced. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise clear judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Hospitality Coordinator will have the ability to work independently on projects from conception to completion and must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage all forms of correspondence including voicemail, email, and regular mail
  • Oversee guest assimilation process, including Pushpay ChMS process queues
  • Oversee quarterly First Step and gatherings
  • Oversee Connect Ministry and build relationships with volunteer leaders
  • Oversee Café operations
  • Review and approve Hospitality and Lobby usage requests
  • Organize and plan hospitality for special church events such as Christmas, Easter, and EOG
  • Partner with Worship Pastor to facilitate baptism weekends
  • Point of contact for congregant and guest needs including weekend incident management and congregant care
  • Develop an annual budget and manage monthly spending
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
HS Diploma or Eqivalent
Prior experience coordinating teams
Skills and Abilities
  • Developed and honed communication skills and interpersonal awareness
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize decisions
  • Sensitive and skilled in dealing with differing behaviors, feelings and values
  • Appropriate awareness of privacy of sensitive and confidential information
  • Enjoy working collaboratively with a staff team
  • A demonstrated interest in new technologies and approaches
  • Recognizes own limits and embraces the expertise of other staff
  • Strong competence on Apple computers and within Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work with Data Base Administration
