Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Account Manager help us grow our Tirefill division. This position is responsible for sales of formulated Tirefill products, maintenance and equipment in designated territory across multiple end-use applications including: Aftermarket, Mining and OEM / New equipment production.
Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the Sr. Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales territory and building relationships with key customers and prospects in all segments of the business. This role requires effective time management and travel when necessary to develop and execute plans to grow business volumes and profitability. This is a remote opportunity working from a home office.
Your additional responsibilities as Sr. Account Manager will include:
  • Develop complete understanding of installation & operation of all Carpenter-supplied pumping systems to enable sales discussions and on-site or by-phone troubleshooting.
  • Ability to conduct on-site training and audit customer processes to determine areas for improvement.
  • Develop complete understanding of competitor offerings - chemicals, equipment, service programs.
  • Develop, maintain & modify as necessary territory plan for customer visits.
  • Develop annual growth plan (including any needs) focused on key customers & prospects
  • Represent company at industry events.
  • Provide weekly reports on sales activities, competitive information, industry trends.
  • Ability to travel (by air & vehicle) up to 75%.

Skills/ Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years in customer facing roles with proven ability to interact at all levels of an organization
  • Strong critical thinking, communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with a drive to exceed expectations
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive sales environment and build relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Prior experience in the Tire Industry
  • Prior experience with Salesforce, SAP, Quickbooks or Enterprise software preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
