Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Acuity International Health Care Inc., you will be responsible for:

• Providing individual counseling sessions via secure video conferencing platforms, ensuring a compassionate and ethical approach at all times.
• Implementing solution-focused treatment modalities tailored to the individual needs of clients.
• Creating comprehensive treatment plans that address the specific mental health challenges faced by your clients.
• Facilitating discussions that encourage clients to express their feelings and gain insights into their emotional experiences and interpersonal relationships.
• Monitoring client progress, updating treatment plans as necessary, and assisting clients in developing healthy coping strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse population of stable, low-acuity adults presenting a wide range of mental health challenges. Your role is essential in these individuals' journey as you help them develop essential life skills aimed at improving their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A fully active and unrestricted license to practice independently as one of the following:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• No limited or provisional licenses, and no prior disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy and active listening.
• Strong familiarity with telehealth platforms and basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience

While specific experience is not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in remote therapy or electronic health records will be viewed favorably. Experience in working with low-acuity adults in outpatient settings can further strengthen your application.
