Living Free Psychotherapy Center is actively searching for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the mental well-being of diverse clients. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with individuals to assess their mental health status, formulate personalized therapy plans, and guide them towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage regularly with clients to assess and evaluate their mental health conditions and treatment progress.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practices to address various mental health challenges.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
  • Regularly communicate treatment strategies and progress with clients, offering tools and resources to help them navigate their challenges.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation of all client interactions in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in mental health treatment to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. You are expected to approach treatment with cultural competency and sensitivity, adapting therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each client. Your work will empower clients to build resilience and establish healthier coping strategies.

Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
  • Expertise in various therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches suited for individual and group therapy.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with an array of mental health disorders and crisis intervention situations.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document therapy sessions and patient progress.
