Butler Therapy and Testing Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote outpatient team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while serving clients in an outpatient setting. • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, duration, and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, needs, and circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect evolving needs and outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families on the nature of mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Advocate for client needs and contribute to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

The primary focus of this role will be on clients managing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will be tasked with providing support not only for individuals but also for vulnerable populations such as refugees, people experiencing homelessness, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your work will facilitate their recovery and support their journey toward long-term mental health stability.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Completion of a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a secure therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for effective case management.

• Experience in working with diverse populations dealing with mood disorders and trauma.
• Familiarity with advanced therapeutic techniques and continuous engagement in professional development relevant to mental health.
• Previous work in integrated care settings or collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is advantageous.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
