Work Environment

This position is primarily conducted remotely, allowing for flexibility while maintaining high-quality patient care. You will benefit from our outpatient office infrastructure, which supports a collaborative approach with a network of fellow therapists, psychiatrists, and clinical staff. This role is designed to provide a healthy work-life balance, with structured office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., fostering full engagement in both your professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients experiencing mood disorder symptoms, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, to determine the intensity and duration of their issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, therapeutic options, and effective self-care practices.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration by liaising with psychiatrists and primary care providers to ensure integrated care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to enhance service delivery and professional growth.
  • Advocate for client needs and mental health awareness within the community, addressing stigma and accessibility issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders and their families, providing support for complex issues such as depression and anxiety. The clientele includes diverse populations, including vulnerable groups such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your empathetic approach and specialized knowledge are essential in guiding these clients toward recovery and resilience.

Qualifications
  • Must possess an active and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of compassion and a nonjudgmental approach in handling sensitive client experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage a varied workload while adhering to deadlines.
Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have experience working with clients impacted by mood disorders, trauma, and addiction. Familiarity with a range of treatment modalities and an understanding of community resources will enhance the support provided to clients. Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
