Signal Systems Engineer - On-Call Services

Join our team as a Signal Systems Engineer, where you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining signal systems for a variety of applications. You will work with a team of engineers to focus on Remote Terminal Units and Processors, Passenger and Kiosk Information Displays Signals, MICC Information Systems, Fire Life Safety Systems, train control, train detection, and tracking functionalities.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous 6 years' experience in signal system design, development, and maintenance, particularly in areas such as Remote Terminal Units and Processors, Passenger and Kiosk Information Displays Signals, MICC Information Systems, Fire Life Safety Systems, train control, train detection, and tracking.
  • Proficient in signal processing techniques, protocols, and programming languages like C, C++, or Python.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain signal systems, focusing on Remote Terminal Units and Processors, Passenger and Kiosk Information Displays Signals, MICC Information Systems, Fire Life Safety Systems, train control, train detection, and tracking components.
  • Conduct testing and debugging activities to ensure signal systems operate efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate signal systems into various projects.
  • Identify areas for enhancement and propose solutions to improve signal system functionalities.

Main office located at WMATA New Carrollton Rail Yard, 4100 Garden City Drive, Washington DC.
Salary Range: $56.49 to $69.17 HR
