About VertiGIS
VertiGIS builds powerful GIS software that helps organizations design, manage, and operate complex networks and infrastructure. Our products enhance leading mapping platforms, most notably Esri's ArcGIS, and are used globally by telecommunications operators, utilities, and public sector organizations.
Within VertiGIS, the Telecommunications Business Unit focuses on enabling fiber and telecom operators to plan, document, and operate their networks more efficiently. Our flagship telco product, ConnectMaster, supports the full network lifecycle across planning, design, documentation, and operations.
We offer challenging and meaningful careers in a collaborative, international environment. Our teams are made up of driven, curious, and supportive people who enjoy learning, growing, and doing impactful work together.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful implementations, migrations, and optimizations of VertiGIS Telco Solutions. This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end project delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in data migration, GIS systems, telecom infrastructure, or enterprise asset management platforms, along with proven technical and project leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full lifecycle implementation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate data migration activities, including data mapping, transformation logic, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
  • Oversee integration & implementation efforts across systems, including:
    • GIS platforms
    • ETL pipelines and data transformation frameworks
    • APIs, middleware, and external enterprise systems
  • Partner with technical leads to define solution architecture, data flows, and system interfaces.
  • Ensure alignment between Customer (project management) and VertiGIS (technical delivery) teams or equivalent stakeholders.
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, with proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate UAT, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), and go-live readiness.
  • Establish and track KPIs (schedule adherence, data quality, system performance, etc.).
  • Drive clear communication across all levels, including executive reporting.
  • Ensure proper documentation, governance, and change management processes are followed.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization, performance tuning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Capability Expectations
  • Ability to understand and contribute to solution architecture and system design discussions
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Data models (relational, geospatial, and asset-based models)

    • APIs and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, microservices)
  • Experience with GIS platforms, ESRI ArcGIS ecosystem (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Feature Services)
  • Familiarity with spatial data concepts (topology, coordinate systems, geodatabases)
  • Understanding of telecom or utility network data structures (fiber, circuits, outside plant, network hierarchies)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and deployment models is a plus
  • Ability to create and\or interpret SQL queries, data transformations, and data validation scripts
  • Ability to document and train on solutions delivered
  • Experience working with data quality frameworks, reconciliation reporting, and audit controls

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in telecom, utilities, or GIS environments.
  • PMP, and/or Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Proven experience delivering data migration and system implementation projects.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Nice to Have
