• Provide individualized therapy strategies that resonate with clients' unique needs, ensuring thorough assessments and evaluations are completed during initial sessions.
• Deliver measurable therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based, catering to individuals, couples, families, and groups based on assessed needs.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused short therapy, to enhance engagement and outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client care, participating in case discussions and strategy sessions.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in accordance with ethical standards and regulations, ensuring client privacy and confidentiality are prioritized.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training sessions to stay informed about current mental health trends and research.

Your clients will include individuals from diverse backgrounds facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance misuse. The ability to approach every client with cultural competence and empathy is essential to building rapport and facilitating effective therapeutic relationships.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is required, with demonstrable skills in individual and group therapy.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards within mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing a therapeutic alliance with diverse clientele.
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telehealth technologies.

• Specialization in trauma-informed therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred and valued.
• Experience utilizing a variety of intervention strategies tailored to individual therapy sessions and group dynamics.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
