Job description


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The position involves working weekend days with a shift schedule of Friday to Sunday, 7am to 7:30pm. On-call and holiday shifts are also required, with 2-3 on-call shifts per month.

Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety.
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
  • Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
  • Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Requirements
  • HCP's currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission.
  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position).
  • Two (2) Years' Experience.
  • Level 1 Trauma Center Experience.
  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
  • Telemetry.

Preferred
  • Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during orientation process.
  • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.

Soft Skills Required
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A patient and compassionate disposition.
  • Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.

Skills
  • Level I Trauma Experience: Required, 2 Years
  • CT Tech License (NY ONLY): Required
  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY): Required
  • Two (2) years experience: Required, 2 Years
  • Siemens Scanner Experience: Required, 6 Months
  • Epic Experience: Highly desired, 1 Year
  • Telemetry: Required
