Job description

Client Accounting Specialist (Remote)
Full Time | Remote | $60,000 to $70,000 Base plus Bonus

If you are looking for a role where you can do meaningful work without the constant grind of traditional accounting environments, this is worth a look.

Think 35-hour Work Weeks - YEAR ROUND!

Our client is a specialized, women-owned accounting and advisory firm supporting creative entrepreneurs across the country. They have intentionally built a people-first culture that prioritizes both client success and team sustainability. The result is a remote environment where expectations are high, but burnout is not the model.

They are seeking a Client Accounting Specialist with strong QuickBooks Online expertise who takes pride in clean books, consistent execution, and building trusted client relationships.

What You Will Be Doing
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
• Code transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financials in QuickBooks Online
• Prepare and process payroll, W-2s, and 1099s
• Handle sales tax filings and compliance across multiple states
• Prepare monthly financial reports for internal review
• Build strong, professional relationships with clients and serve as a trusted point of contact
• Partner with clients to understand their business and provide ongoing support

What You Bring to the Table
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience. This is a core requirement
• 2 plus years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in a client-facing environment
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
• High attention to detail and strong ownership of your work
• Comfort working in a fully remote, technology-driven environment
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset

Experience with tools such as Gusto, Tax1099, or working with creative or inventory-based businesses is helpful but not required

The Reality
There is a defined busy season from December through February where the team leans in to support client needs. Outside of that period, the firm operates with a more balanced and sustainable pace, but even in those "busy" months, hours typically top out at 40-45.

What You Get
• $60,000 to $70,000 base salary
• Quarterly bonus opportunities based on your productivity and results
• Fully remote work environment
• 401(k) with company match
• PTO, sick time, and paid holidays
• Health reimbursement support
• A team that respects your time outside of work

Why This Role Stands Out
This is a firm that has made a deliberate decision to operate differently. The focus is on doing quality work for clients while creating an environment where people can sustain both their careers and their personal lives
