Job description

Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with extensive experience in product or platform development within the domains of product risk or product compliance, spanning all layers of the technology stack. This role will drive the development of complex distributed systems that safeguard the information shared by billions of users.This individual will play a key leadership role within our Product Risk and Compliance organization, working collaboratively to design, build, and operate the risk management systems that empower Meta to innovate. They will leverage data and foresight to shape long-term strategies and drive planning and prioritization for the teams they support. The role will involve working on a broad and varied set of challenges, including building scalable regulatory readiness solutions, evolving incident management, establishing privacy engineering platforms, and developing advanced tools for product risk and compliance.
Technical Program Manager, Developers Infrastructure Responsibilities:
  • Define, build, and lead cross-functional programs that deliver end-to-end solutions addressing wide-ranging technical and business challenges
  • Own the identification and resolution of end-to-end, cross-functional challenges across technical domains, including both client and server infrastructure
  • Drive the execution and delivery of solutions to business challenges through strategic insight and hands-on leadership
  • Drive and shape technical and product strategy by proactively identifying challenges, aligning priorities, and setting direction across a broad cross-functional landscape
  • Define and deliver technical requirements that address people-related challenges and support product, platform, or infrastructure objectives in close collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Define and own success criteria, including metrics, measurement plans, rollout strategies, and scalable, sustainable operational frameworks
  • Foster trust-based partnerships to effectively mobilize teams and influence a broad range of stakeholders, leaders, and organizations
  • Identify and enhance operational efficiencies to accelerate execution and improve quality of outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 12+ years of experience in software, systems, or hardware engineering, or in technical product/program management
  • Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception through delivery
  • Knowledge of assessing user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
  • Experience independently leading across multiple teams, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with technical management teams to design and deliver systems, solutions, and products
  • Experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving applied to large-scale systems
  • Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and with partners across multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with operating system platforms such as Android or firmware development
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience managing developer relationships and coordinating roadmaps and deliverables with third-party partners
  • Experience in software development and deployment of large-scale web applications with global usage
  • Experience adjusting priorities and approaches in response to evolving requirements, shifting timelines, or new stakeholder needs
  • Knowledge of software development processes, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and testing frameworks
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Background in enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) or direct engagement with business customers
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
