Job description

Are you ready to join an innovative company with over 100 years of excellence and a steadfast commitment to ethical business practices? Amentum is hiring a Microelectronics Program Manager to support our U.S. government customers.
This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in the microelectronics and semiconductor industry to address critical challenges in global supply chain risk analysis. As the Program Manager, you will lead a small, specialized team to track and analyze trends, conduct in-depth technology assessments, respond to customer inquiries, and identify systemic vulnerabilities within the global microelectronics landscape.
While this position does not involve managing supply chain logistics or operations, a strong understanding of semiconductor industry ecosystems, technical processes, and supply chain complexities is required.
This is a remote role with the flexibility of working from home; however, candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance of the Boston, MA area to accommodate occasional site visits on short notice.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the production, review, and refinement of the team's responses to government Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of semiconductor hardware, processes, and supply chains-from intellectual property to end-user delivery-identifying vulnerabilities and risk elements.
  • Research and analyze publicly available data, including strategic planning, demand/capacity forecasts, regulatory considerations, safety and risk factors, and performance trends.
  • Provide actionable recommendations and insights to mitigate supply chain risks and help government clients make informed decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in gathering open-source microelectronics data and creating risk assessments.
  • Manage a small team to deliver high-quality, complex risk analysis deliverables.
  • Provide on-site client support as needed for inquiries, ad-hoc reporting, and guidance on analytical methods.

Minimum Requirements:
  • An active Secret U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required to maintain this clearance).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in program management/support or supply chain risk analysis.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in the microelectronics/semiconductor industry.
  • Proven ability to conduct detailed research and produce insightful analytical reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficient in business tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of n-tier supply chain risk analysis across the semiconductor ecosystem.
  • Ability to lead effectively in ambiguous situations and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with strategic planning and process improvement initiatives related to risk analysis.
