Job description

Position Overview

High Value Counseling Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals in hospice settings, ensuring that patients and their families receive the support they need during challenging times.

About the Organization

At High Value Counseling Center, we pride ourselves on our commitment to exceptional mental health services. We focus on providing holistic, patient-centered care that engages individuals and families in their care journeys. Our therapist network is a collaborative environment where creativity, expertise, and empathy converge to foster healing and resilience among our patient population.

Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote work setting, providing flexibility and convenience. In the context of the hospice center, you will engage with patients facing end-of-life issues, allowing you to utilize telehealth platforms to maintain a high level of patient interaction without the constraints of a traditional office. Our supportive infrastructure allows you to balance your professional responsibilities with personal wellness, encouraging a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique emotional and psychological needs of hospice patients and their families.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) through secure telehealth platforms, ensuring all interactions are confidential and effective.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive clinical records, adhering to all regulations and standards, while efficiently utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Engage in virtual consultations with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other mental health professionals, to coordinate care and discuss treatment approaches for complex cases.
  • Participate in ongoing peer review meetings utilizing video conferencing technologies to foster professional development and assure the quality of care provided.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health issues and available support resources, guiding them in navigating the complexities of hospice care through digital tools and resources.
  • Continuously update your knowledge of mental health best practices through virtual workshops and online resources, integrating the latest evidence-based methods into your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on delivering compassionate care to hospice patients who may be grappling with mental health challenges related to their conditions. By providing empathetic support and treatment, you will improve their quality of life during a sensitive period. Engaging with family members will also be essential in offering them the tools they need to support their loved ones effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from a recognized institution, emphasizing therapeutic techniques applicable in hospice and palliative settings.
  • A valid LCSW license to practice in California, demonstrating your qualifications and adherence to professional standards.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally with direct service delivery to patients in either hospice, palliative care, or community health settings.
  • Proficient in solution-focused psychotherapy techniques, especially those that can be effectively delivered through remote channels.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients through virtual interactions, trusting relationships, and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and work independently while also functioning effectively within a remote team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing therapy within hospice care environments, highlighting an understanding of the unique psychological needs of patients at the end of life.
  • Familiarity with telehealth systems and digital platforms used for remote patient management and treatment documentation.
  • Previous involvement in developing patient education resources or collaborative treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, serving to enhance your overall well-being.
  • Life insurance and disability coverage for peace of mind, as well as malpractice insurance tailored to remote practitioners.
  • Access to an employee assistance program offering mental health support services to both you and your family.
  • Unlimited patient referrals, ensuring that you have a steady flow of clients and can focus on providing excellent care without the stress of marketing yourself.
  • Support with administrative tasks aimed at reducing paperwork, allowing you to dedicate your time and energy to what you do best: providing exceptional patient care.
Career Growth Opportunities

We believe in investing in our team members' professional development. Opportunities for further training and specialization in areas pertinent to hospice care and mental health will be available, as well as exposure to leadership roles as the organization expands.

Why Join Our Team
