We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Technology Solutions to lead technology at Flood & Peterson. This role shapes our technology strategy while ensuring secure, reliable operations that support business priorities and growth.


In this role, you will lead internal teams and external partners to deliver effective, business-aligned solutions. You will balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution-stepping in when needed to ensure continuity and progress on key initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Hands-On Leadership & Execution: Provide hands-on leadership across system implementation, troubleshooting, and solution delivery while maintaining working expertise in key platforms and effectively delegating work.
  • Strategy, Roadmap & Governance: Develop and guide a practical technology roadmap aligned with business goals, supported by clear priorities, metrics, and governance.
  • Solution Delivery, Innovation & Business Enablement: Lead technology initiatives end-to-end while partnering with business stakeholders to improve workflows, drive adoption, and enable operational efficiency.
  • AI Enablement, Governance & Responsible Use: Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-driven solutions while establishing governance standards and guiding teams on effective and responsible use in alignment with business and compliance expectations.
  • IT Operations & Service Delivery: Oversee daily IT operations by leading technical staff and applying incidents, problems, and change management practices while serving as the escalation point for critical issues.
  • Cybersecurity (Third-Party Led): Serve as the primary liaison with the cybersecurity partner, coordinating incident response, access reviews, and security initiatives while regularly communicating security posture and updates to leadership.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, develop, and oversee IT team members, including hiring, performance management, training, and work allocation to ensure effective support and operational excellence.

What You Bring

  • Education and Work Experience: 8+ Years of experience working in IT Operations, including team leadership and technology project oversight.
    • License or Certification Requirements:
      • Requires current Colorado driver's license and acceptable MVR.
  • Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of systems administration, network infrastructure, security practices, and cloud/SaaS environments.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and partner with teams across the organization.
  • Leadership & Execution: Proven leadership, decision-making, vendor management, and project management capabilities.
