Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lateral Attorney Recruiting

  • Coordinate the full-cycle recruiting process for associate and counsel positions across assigned West Coast offices, including candidate sourcing and screening, interview coordination, candidate communications, offer preparation, post-offer engagement, and onboarding initiation.
  • Build relationships with Regional Managing Partners, office and practice group leaders, and other hiring attorneys to understand hiring needs, provide recruiting updates, and support hiring objectives.
  • Source and assess candidates, prepare concise candidate summaries, and present qualified candidates to hiring teams.
  • Manage candidate communications throughout the recruiting lifecycle while delivering a responsive, high-touch candidate experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with approved search firms and other recruiting sources to support current and anticipated hiring needs.

Student Recruiting

  • Support law student recruiting initiatives, including on-campus interviewing, first-year hiring, recruiting events, and the Summer Clerk Program.
  • Coordinate candidate and attorney communications, interviews, offers, and other student recruiting activities as assigned.
  • Partner with members of the Attorney Recruiting team to support a consistent candidate and summer clerk experience across offices.

Recruiting Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain complete and accurate candidate and requisition information in the applicant tracking system and other recruiting tools.
  • Monitor recruiting activity, pipeline status, hiring metrics, and source data, and prepare regular reports to support team and leadership visibility.
  • Support consistent recruiting processes and identify opportunities to improve workflows, data quality, candidate experience, and the use of recruiting technology.
  • Process recruiting-related expenses and provide administrative coordination as needed.
  • Support firmwide recruiting initiatives, special projects, and other offices as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Three or more years of law firm recruiting, attorney recruiting, legal search, or related professional services recruiting experience preferred.
  • Law firm or attorney search firm experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter preferred. Experience with viGlobal and iManage is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to coordinate multiple attorney searches and recruiting activities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, candidates, firm leadership, search firms, and colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Strong candidate sourcing and screening skills, including the ability to assess experience and qualifications against defined hiring needs.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate recruiting data and records.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Curiosity about recruiting technology and a willingness to adopt new tools and processes that improve recruiting effectiveness, reporting, and candidate experience.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and providing exceptional service to candidates and internal stakeholders.
