Job description

ATTENTION MILITARY AFFILIATED JOB SEEKERS - Our organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. The following position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. If you have the required skill set, education requirements, and experience, please click the submit button and follow the next steps.

The employer will consider applicants worldwide, however, you must be available during the time zone you are selected to teach within. For example, if you are in Japan, but selected for a remote assignment based in Houston, Texas, you would need to be available during the assigned hours in Texas/CST.
Candidates need direct explicit instruction of reading foundations (phonics, morphology, etc.) and a valid teaching certificate. Resumes that do not clearly show this experience will not be considered.

We are changing children's lives. We work with the most struggling readers, including children with word reading difficulties or other characteristics of dyslexia. Come join our team!
We are hiring certified teachers to teach virtual small-group intervention sessions. Teachers receive training on effective, proven intervention programs, are compensated for training and prep time, and join a community of serious educators, researchers, and advocates committed to changing outcomes for historically underserved children.
This role is a flexible part-time W2 position. Expected hours: 5-12 per week.
The Role
We are hiring teachers to teach virtual small-group sessions mostly during school hours, with some after school classes as well. You will teach groups of 3-4 students, using effective programs specially adapted for virtual instruction.
You will develop caring relationships with the children you teach, helping them grow and succeed as readers. You will provide weekly updates to school and home stakeholders, building a community of care around each child.
You will be part of a community of like-minded teachers who care deeply about every child's success.
Schedule
We are currently hiring for the following teaching schedules:
2026-2027 School Year: Classes beginning as early as September and as late as November. Classes are 30-60 minutes per day, Monday through Friday, mostly during the school day, with SOME after-school availability in the Pacific time zone.
Commitments
Participation in multiple days of program training. You are paid for this time.
During the school year, between 1 and 4 hours of teaching per day, 3 to 5 days per week, over the course of the school year.
    Fingerprinting and background check.
Weekly completion of instructional tracking reports and student updates.
    Participation in regular staff meetings.
Training and professional development
Before teaching, you will receive training in the program you are assigned to teach. You may receive training on multiple programs.
Before teaching you will also receive training in areas such as models of development, dyslexia, child & adolescent reading development, etc.
During the course of instruction, you will have the opportunity to participate in a mix of mentor observations, peer observations, office hours, and student case management discussions.
You will also have the chance to engage with leading academics in the fields of dyslexia and reading intervention.
Purpose and diversity
We believe every child deserves a reading future. We strive to support students who are underserved by current systems and models of intervention.
We are building a team that reflects the full diversity of our student population and of our country. If you are committed to helping children who struggle with reading, please join us!
Compensation
We pay $35/hour for time teaching.
We have opportunities for increases with greater responsibility (such as mentoring or site leadership).
We pay a reduced rate for training and a stipend for prep time, staff time, and professional development.
We provide paid sick leave to all hourly employees.
**Please Note: All candidates must file taxes within the U.S. to be eligible for this job posting. We do not have the ability to hire candidates who file in U.S. Territories or other countries.**
