Job description

Dematic Corp. has an immediate opening for a CAD Supervisor to lead a team of Controls designers within our Lifecycle Services and Solutions - Modernizations & Upgrades organization. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience leading CAD design teams, along with a proven track record of strong leadership and consistent delivery of high-quality engineering outputs.
Role Overview
The CAD Supervisor is accountable for the performance and execution of daily CAD operations, including resource allocation, workload prioritization, and team coordination. This role ensures drawing deliverables are accurately scoped, efficiently assigned, and completed on schedule in alignment with project and business objectives.
As both a leader and contributor, this individual will provide hands-on CAD design and drafting support while driving team performance, maintaining quality standards, and enabling successful project execution.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $101,200.00 - $151,800.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.We offer:Tasks and Qualifications:

Tactical Execution Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the workload of Controls CAD designers supporting the LSS Modernizations & Upgrades (MU) team.
  • Optimize team utilization by balancing workloads to drive efficiency and meet project demands.
  • Monitor backlog, track progress of CAD deliverables, and provide regular updates on team performance and capacity.
  • Prioritize CAD activities in alignment with Engineering and Project Management leadership direction.
  • Execute administrative responsibilities, including time approval and travel authorization, as applicable.
  • Own the quality, accuracy, and overall outcomes of all drawing deliverables produced by the team.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance individual performance and ensure effective use of tools and processes.
  • Ensure drawings meet established quality standards and delivery timelines; proactively identify risks and implement corrective actions.

Team Growth and Development Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, onboard, and effectively integrate new team members into the team across both U.S. and Monterrey locations.
  • Drive continuous talent development and performance management through the OCTR (Organizational Capability and Talent Review) and structured goal-setting processes.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and skills gap assessment, enabling targeted development plans while empowering team members to perform at their highest potential.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, open communication, and collaboration across the team.
  • Promote and reinforce a Safety-First mindset, ensuring adherence to all company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication through oneonone meetings, realtime coaching, project team discussions, peer meetings, and employee feedback channels.
Tasks and Qualifications:

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in engineering management and/or people leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively with minimal supervision across remote, office, and customer site environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% and work additional hours as needed to support project demands.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical is required.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, influencing, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain composure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
