About the Role:

Benchmark Gensuite is seeking a hands-on IT Systems Implementations Engineer to serve as the technical delivery owner for Subscriber-facing integration and AI implementation projects. This is a customer-facing, high-impact role for a professional who combines strong engineering instincts with the communication skills to work confidently alongside enterprise IT teams.

You will lead end-to-end delivery of systems integration projects-from technical discovery through go-live-working directly with Subscriber IT organizations to define requirements, design solutions, and drive implementation. A key emerging focus of this role is the deployment of Agentic AI solutions within Subscriber environments, enabling intelligent workflow automation on top of our SaaS platform. This role carries a clear growth path toward a Forward Deployed Engineer position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Subscriber Engagement & Technical Discovery

  • Serve as the primary technical implementation contact for Subscriber IT teams across integration, analytics, and AI deployment engagements.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to elicit, document, and validate integration and automation requirements.
  • Build trusted working relationships with Subscriber stakeholders ranging from IT managers and system administrators to enterprise architects.
  • Translate complex, ambiguous customer requirements into clear and actionable engineering specifications.

Systems Integration & Implementation

  • Own end-to-end delivery of systems integration projects including HR data synchronization, Single Sign-On (SSO/SAML/SCIM) implementations, application-specific data migrations, and API-driven record updates.
  • Design and document data mapping specifications, API integration flows, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Configure, test, and validate integrations in collaboration with Subscriber IT teams and internal Engineering.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, data discrepancies, and connectivity issues across implementation phases.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications across concurrent Subscriber engagements.

Agentic AI Solution Deployment

  • Partner with internal Engineering and Product teams to implement Agentic AI capabilities within subscriber instances.
  • Engage Subscriber IT teams to assess workflow automation opportunities and define requirements for AI agent implementations.
  • Support configuration, testing, and rollout of AI-driven automation solutions including intelligent data processing, decision support agents, and workflow orchestration.
  • Stay current on emerging Agentic AI platforms, frameworks, and SaaS integration patterns relevant to the enterprise EHS and compliance domain.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource to Subscribers navigating their AI adoption journey, helping them understand capabilities, limitations, and best practices.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including requirements specs, integration design documents, test plans, and go-live runbooks.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases, reusable integration templates, and implementation playbooks.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on Subscriber implementation experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a systems implementation, solutions engineering, IT integration, or technical consulting role.
  • Solid working knowledge of systems integration concepts, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data workflow design.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: SSO/SAML/SCIM protocols, HRIS platform integrations (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors), ETL pipelines, or enterprise data migration projects.
  • Experience deploying or configuring AI-driven automation within enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical conversations and communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent customer-facing implementation projects with competing timelines.
  • Strong documentation skills-comfortable producing requirements specs, data maps, API specs, and integration design artifacts.
  • Proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Agentic AI platforms, LLM-based workflow automation, or AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or vendor-native AI agents in enterprise SaaS).
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration concepts such as tool use, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt chaining, and multi-agent coordination.
  • Familiarity with iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Workato, Dell Boomi, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
  • Basic scripting or query skills (SQL, Python, or similar) for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to EHS, compliance, or workforce management software platforms.
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.

Career Growth:

This role is designed to grow with you. High-performing candidates will have the opportunity to advance into a Forward Deployed Engineer role-taking on deeper technical ownership of integration architecture, Agentic AI implementations, custom development, and strategic Subscriber partnerships.
