Radiance, supporting major Air Force programs in Dayton OH, is searching for an experienced Red Hat Linux System Administrator to support critical IT resources at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The qualified candidate will provide maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement to the IT architecture in a classified environment; ensure compliance with applicable information assurance requirements; ensure 24/7 continuity of operations; and create and update relevant system documents. Work hours are normal business hours, however, occasional support during non-business hours will be required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform Installation and Maintenance of Linux Servers and network systems.
  • Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space;
  • Install and Maintain Linux Servers and network systems.
  • Test updates to enterprise system software to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
  • Performance and network tuning
  • Develop best practices with respect to process and documentation/templates

Required Skills

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with immediate SCI eligibility
  • Knowledge of IntelliEarth Integrator Software
  • Experienced with PostgreSQL Database installations and backups
  • 5 + years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or10 + years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 / 8 servers in a classified environment
  • Knowledge of security operations such as security safeguards administration, information assurance.
  • Network security certification such as Security+ (minimum) or higher

Desired Qualifications

  • Other Linux O/S knowledge also helpful (CentOS, Rocky Linux)
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Tomcat, Apache, and other webserver installations using PKI infrastructure
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation
  • Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls and network tools
