Job description

3dB Labs is seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to join our corporate team supporting our growing mission. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with great interpersonal skills with the technical knowledge to go with it. Our work environment is dynamic and fast-paced with a focus on quick-reaction responses to our customers' needs. Our products are technically compelling, operationally relevant, and deployed around the globe.
For the Linux System Admin role, the major list of duties include:
End User Support

  • Initial setup, maintenance, upgrade, troubleshooting of FA team hardware: Linux (Rocky, CentOS, RHEL) laptop, receiver kits, antennas
  • Familiarize new employees with the following systems: Email (Exchange), OneDrive, InTune, JIRA, web-based timecard system, Ninja1, ticketing system, GITLAB, Mattermost, WiFi, and VPN
  • Acquire hardware from production or create own pipeline for Linux laptop hardware
  • Install Linux, SCEPTRE, drivers, etc.
  • Ensure all elements play well together, including software and demo kits

Infrastructure Support
  • VMware ESXi: assist in creating, configuring, restoring, and migrating VMs
  • Create and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Run cable as needed

Requirements
  • US Citizen, ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret Clearance
  • 8-15 years IT Linux experience
  • Bachelors or Associates degree in IT, Computer Systems, or similar
  • Expert in Linux distros: Rocky / CentOS / RHEL / Ubuntu
  • Experience in spec’ing / acquiring hardware for Linux installations
  • Current or past US security clearance is a major plus
