The Data Analyst provides strategic data reporting and analysis for a large utility client overseeing a state-wide electric vehicle incentive program. Key role objectives are to help identify opportunities for improvement across various program aspects, including, retailer enrollment/engagement, claims processing, public awareness marketing, and program equity distribution.
What You'll Be Doing
60% Dashboards and Data Visualization: Dashboards and Data Visualization: Leads Behavioral and Decision Sciences contribution to strategic business reviews of assigned accounts. Strategically utilizes business intelligence knowledge and thorough understanding of core solutions offerings. Develops and updates analytics dashboards of assigned accounts on an ongoing basis. Emphasizes data storytelling, visualizing data into applicable insights and intuitive dashboards for client presentations and ongoing reference.
20% Client Engagement: Client Engagement: Incorporates client-facing skills with strategic presentation skills to establish a credible relationship with clients and prospects. Serve as day-to-day client contact for analytics questions, requests, and thought leadership. Acts as a subject matter expert, presenting analytic services and insights to clients in both pre-sale and post-sale situations. Presents findings and recommendations to clients and associated partners in face-to-face meetings for client programs, emphasizing data-driven strategic insights to drive business performance, while following quality control processes as established by the Performance Analytics Leadership.
20% Analysis Projects: Conducts analyses to measure the effect of programs, campaigns, or other efforts. Develops scope for ad-hoc analyses, executing as appropriate and converting ad-hoc analyses to standard offerings. Consults other analytical resources to complete assigned client deliverables, and supports senior team members in their analyses. Identifies appropriate data sources (internal, client, 3rd party) and gathers data in an efficient and timely manner. Contributes to account team conversations to support crafting of strategic recommendations to client. Visualizes and communicates findings in a clear, understandable manner to non-technical audiences.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, applied math, physics, computer science, operations research, or other quantitative program required. Additional degrees with relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in serving clients in a business or marketing environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with analytics dashboard tools such as Power BI and Google Data Studio.
  • Experience with relational database systems and knowledge of SQL required. Willingness to learn programming languages such as Python or R is expected.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex models and ideas to decision makers using oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with behavioral science and/or behavioral economics a plus.
  • Experience with AI agents and code development a plus.

Nice to Have
  • Master's or similar advanced degree a plus.
  • Experience with employee engagement, recognition, incentives, customer retention, and/or loyalty data a strong plus.
  • Experience with email campaign and web analytics a strong plus.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Services and BigQuery preferred.
  • Experience with behavioral science and/or behavioral economics a plus.
