Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to oversee Supply Chain operations across a multi-state, multi-facility nonprofit healthcare system. The Regional Director of Supply Chain will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and efficient supply chain processes that support high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, a proven change agent, and a collaborative partner with both clinical and administrative teams.

This is a 100% remote position.  Travel level is estimated to be 1 week every two months.  Travel level is subject to change based on organizational needs. 

The pay range for this position is $135,580 - $203,370 annually. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity. 

Responsibilities

Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide system-level leadership and direction for all Supply Chain operations within assigned markets, including procedural areas, PAR and perpetual inventory management, requisitioning, receiving, bill-only processes, and vendor management.

Technology & Data Utilization

  • Leverage and oversee relevant technology and software applications to enhance supply chain visibility, efficiency, and decision-making across facilities.

Capital Budgeting

  • Plan, organize, and direct the capital budgeting process for the market, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and financial stewardship.

Fiscal Accountability

  • Maintain fiscal responsibility for all market Supply Chain Management departments, including monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and achieving operational targets.

Strategic Sourcing & Utilization

  • Support system-wide strategic sourcing initiatives for supplies and purchased services. Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical leaders to optimize product utilization and support standardization efforts.

Standardization & Cost Optimization

  • Lead and support enterprise-wide initiatives focused on product standardization, process improvement, and cost savings - including coordination of Value Analysis activities.

Policy & Procedure Development

  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures that align with corporate directives and regulatory standards to ensure efficient, ethical, and compliant procurement practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Achieve broad stakeholder engagement by participating in cross-functional teams, promoting transparent communication, and sharing best practices that drive operational excellence.

Talent Development & Leadership

  • Mentor, coach, and develop staff members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ethical conduct, and professional growth.

Performance Management

  • Establish measurable performance goals for departments and teams, and implement actionable plans to achieve them.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 years of management or supervisory experience in supply chain or purchasing
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field - or in lieu of degree, 10 years of progressive Supply Chain Management experience may be substituted

Preferred:

  • Experience within a multi-facility healthcare organization
  • 2 years of experience working within a healthcare ERP system (Workday, Infor/Lawson, or equivalent)
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)
