The Manager, Supply Chain Management, leads the strategic oversight and continuous improvement of supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and reliability. The position requires strong leadership to guide teams in achieving business metrics while maintaining high ethical standards and compliance. The successful candidate will apply root cause analysis and auditing techniques to enhance supply chain effectiveness, fostering adaptability and sustained operational excellence within a dynamic business environment.
About the team:
The Global Logistics Operational Payment Team manages and optimizes transportation-related payments within Walmart’s Global Logistics network. The team handles invoice processing, automation, and exception management for various transportation charges, ensuring accurate and timely payments. They collaborate with operational teams to reduce detention expenses and improve processes. Responsibilities also include onboarding carriers, enabling EDI, vendor setup, and monitoring carrier compliance with safety and insurance standards. By providing insights into transportation spending and carrier performance, the team supports Walmart’s focus on operational excellence and cost-effective supply chain management.
