Job DescriptionThis Director (M3) level position as the Planning Lead for HPV Franchise leads a team of 5-6 supply chain planning professionals (P3 and P4 levels).- The leader is responsible for maintaining supply to markets, meeting inventory targets, and making the most of efficient use of site and network resources for the end-to-end manufacturing of one of the Company's Vaccines.- Planning lead is responsible and accountable for supply planning for the HPV manufacturing network.This role will routinely interact with Sr Leadership for our Manufacturing Division and Commercial organization via the integrated business process and will serve as the primary point of contact for our Manufacturing Division Operations Leadership within the HPV franchise.- This includes partnering with Operations leads, site and functional leads, regional planners, ExM operations and functional leads, Value Chain leaders, VCM Product leaders and Centers of Excellence for the HPV Franchise.- This role is responsible for execution of supply strategies within the 0-36 month horizon, while supporting tactical escalations and strategic decision making for the HPV Franchise. The HPV Planning lead will also demonstrate strong leadership for team members.- This includes developing individual team members skills and competencies, as well as fostering strong collaboration within the team and with key stakeholders.Responsibilities - Planning Operations ManagementPrimary point of contact for Vaccine planning team with HPV franchise.-Responsible to address and mitigate supply issues and bottleneck situations, while enabling resiliency and responsiveness within the supply chain.- Key activities include connecting the various nodes of the supply chain, engaging sites and DS/DP/packaging network in supply chain improvements and facilitating End to End planning for the HPV franchise. Will lead profit planning process and annual inventory planning for HPV.Manage of team of 5-6 supply chain planners, developing and motivating the team towards ensuring supply continuity and continuous improvement.- Develop a team with strong leadership qualities, effective communication skills, ability to lead and contribute to cross functional teams, and the ability to anticipate and solve problems.- Lead team to continued use and adoption of automated planning capabilities.Represent Vaccine Planning in Tier meetings and Integrated Business Processes (ex-Global and Executive S&OPs, Site and Global Supply Reviews).- Lead business processes for HPV franchise.- Activities include communication around issues and mitigation options to resolve supply challenges and proactive support for stakeholders to enable resiliency within the supply chain.- Responsible to manage escalations both within and across Operating Units.Lead supply impact and new business opportunity assessments within HPV.- Partner with operations and commercial colleagues to action supply chain to effectively manage and mitigate supply issues and enable additional business opportunities.Responsible for positioning and setting up supply chain to enable planned growth for HPV Franchise.- Will manage supply chain planning set up and execution for new nodes, positioning the supply chain to meet demand and be positioned to both support upside opportunities if they materials and mitigate impact if there are downsides to the forecast. Minimum Education Required:- BA/BS Required (Supply Chain Management, Business, Scientific disciplines, or Engineering preferred), MBA preferred.
