Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at the Addiction Health Center. This full-time remote position focuses on providing crucial mental health support within our detox facility, aiming to facilitate recovery and enhance the lives of our clients. You will play a vital role in ensuring that individuals receive the compassionate, comprehensive care they need during a pivotal time in their recovery journey.

About the Organization

The Addiction Health Center is committed to delivering exceptional mental health and addiction treatment. Our center in Athens, Georgia, is a design-forward detox facility that emphasizes a holistic approach to healing. We strive to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the varied backgrounds of our clients, ensuring that our services meet their unique requirements. By fostering a supportive environment, we empower our employees to contribute their insights and experiences, driving innovation in care practices.

Work Environment

This remote position allows for flexibility in working from home while still being part of a dynamic team committed to excellence in patient care. You will be expected to maintain regular communication with coworkers and management, utilizing telehealth platforms to engage with clients and collaborate on care strategies. Our work culture promotes open dialogue, continuous improvement, and employee wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary liaison between clients, families, and outpatient providers, fostering collaboration to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
  • Engage with insurance companies to manage pre-certification and utilization management, facilitating access to necessary services for clients.
  • Participate in thorough discharge planning and aftercare arrangements, equipping clients with resources and support for sustained recovery post-detox.
  • Provide therapeutic meal support, modeling healthy relationships with food and addressing any underlying issues with nutrition that may affect recovery.
  • Deliver safe, empathetic, and affirming care tailored to the unique identities and circumstances of each client, enhancing their overall treatment experience.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals undergoing detoxification from substance use disorders, many of whom may also be facing co-occurring mental health challenges. You will work with a diverse population that includes adults of various backgrounds, ages, and experiences. Understanding and responding sensitively to the intersecting identities and needs of clients is critical in delivering effective care.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a valid LCSW license in the state of Georgia is necessary.
  • Prior experience working with older adults and populations experiencing substance use disorders is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical and diagnostic skills appropriate for a detox setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience

We value individuals with experience in outpatient clinic settings or in detox environments, as well as those who possess a thorough understanding of addiction treatment and recovery methodologies. Familiarity with telehealth technologies is also desirable, as it enhances service delivery and client engagement.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and coverage for short-term disability and accidents. We aim to support your overall well-being and ensure you have the means to thrive both personally and professionally.

Career Growth Opportunities

At the Addiction Health Center, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development. We provide ongoing training and education opportunities, mentorship, and support for obtaining advanced certifications. You will have the chance to expand your expertise in the field of substance use recovery while contributing to innovative practices and initiatives that shape the future of care.
