• Conduct thorough evaluations of students to identify their social, emotional, and behavioral needs through clinical assessments and interviews.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, ensuring that they address the specific needs and goals of each student.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to provide direct counseling services that support students coping with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and staff to offer resources, strategies, and support that empower both students and their families.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of case notes, treatment progress, and follow-up requirements in compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest trends and research in mental health, particularly in school-based settings.

You will work primarily with school-aged children and adolescents who face a variety of challenges impacting their emotional and academic performance. This role focuses on creating a safe space for students to express their thoughts and feelings while providing them with coping strategies to enhance their mental resilience.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in Virginia.
• Proficiency in conducting clinical assessments, formulating treatment plans, and implementing therapy techniques effectively.
• Strong communication skills necessary for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and interacting with clients, parents, and educators.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working in mental health, preferably within a school or educational setting.
• Familiarity with developmental psychology, crisis intervention, and family therapy techniques.
• Experience with telehealth services is a plus, as our care model encourages digital and remote counseling solutions.
