• Conduct Psychotherapy: Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns.
• Assessment and Diagnosis: Utilize various psychological tests and evaluation methods to assess mental health disorders, enabling accurate diagnoses that inform treatment strategies.
• Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address their unique mental health needs and goals, ensuring clarity and client engagement throughout the process.
• Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to crisis situations, offering immediate support and interventions including suicide assessments and coordination of emergency services when necessary.
• Collaborate with Professionals: Work closely with teachers, school counselors, and other health professionals to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to student care.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, treatment progress, and compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.
• Policy Development: Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures that enhance service delivery and stability.
• Continuous Professional Development: Attend and contribute to training sessions, workshops, and professional meetings to enhance skills and stay updated with the latest in mental health practices.

This role focuses primarily on the mental health of school-aged children and adolescents. The LCSW will engage with a diverse population experiencing various challenges including academic stress, family dynamics, social pressures, and diagnosed mental health conditions. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for providing effective and relevant support.

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid LCSW license, permitting practice in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of substantive clinical experience providing mental health services, specifically within educational or community settings.
• Strong grasp of evidence-based treatment modalities and interventions.
• Proficiency in collaborating effectively with diverse populations and navigating complex socio-emotional issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively connect with students, families, and colleagues.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients.

• Experience in a school-based setting, understanding the unique challenges faced by students and educators.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and best practices in youth mental health.
• Proven ability to engage families in the therapeutic process, promoting holistic support for students’ mental health.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 90,000, reflective of experience and qualifications.
