Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing general ledger reconciliations, supporting the month-end close process, and assisting with sales tax compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, enjoys working in a collaborative remote environment, and is eager to grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial records and investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Support external audits by preparing requested documentation and analyses.
  • Assist with sales tax compliance, including reviewing transactions, supporting filings, and working within Vertex sales tax software.
  • Work within NetSuite ERP to record, analyze, and reconcile financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience performing general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. NetSuite and Vertex experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
