Job description

The Senior Brand Ambassador - Nashville Region serves as the primary recruitment and enrollment representative for the University of Tennessee Southern within the Nashville and North Middle Tennessee market area. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this position plays a key role in expanding UT Southern's visibility, cultivating relationships with high schools and community partners, and increasing applications, admits, and enrolled students from this strategically important region. The Senior Brand Ambassador manages a defined regional territory, leveraging data insights from the university's admissions and customer relationship management (CRM) systems to identify and convert prospective students, and provides personalized guidance throughout the admissions process. While the position's primary focus is on cultivating and growing enrollment within the Nashville and North Middle Tennessee region, the Senior Brand Ambassador also supports application processing and recruitment efforts for assigned surrounding states as part of the broader admissions team, ensuring alignment and continuity across regional markets. This position also supports strategic initiatives within the Division of Integrated Enrollment and Brand Strategy to achieve ongoing institutional and UT System-wide enrollment goals.

This is a remote position in the Nashville, TN region. 

Located in southern middle Tennessee, UT Southern is about 70 miles south of Nashville and 40 miles north of Huntsville, Alabama. The campus is nestled in the small community of Pulaski and currently enrolls about 800 students a year.

UT Southern is the newest campus to join the UT System, evolving from UT's acquisition of Martin Methodist College in 2021. Students enrolling at UT Southern enjoy a private-college experience at an affordable, public-school cost. Among the many advantages are low student-teacher ratios and high classroom personalization. More than 30 academic programs of study are available through the divisions of business, education, humanities, mathematics and sciences, nursing and social sciences.

Minimum Qualifications 

- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, marketing, education or a related field 

- Minimum of three years of experience in college admissions, recruitment, or student outreach

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience in regional or remote recruitment roles within higher education.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) required

- Strong knowledge of college admissions and territory-based recruitment strategies.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse populations.
- Skill in interpreting and applying data to improve recruitment outcomes.
- Proficiency with CRM and admissions data platforms (experience with Element451, Slate, or similar systems preferred).
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while meeting defined performance metrics.

Territory Recruitment and Relationship Management 
Serve as UT Southern's primary representative in Nashville/North Middle Tennessee Region, managing all recruitment, outreach, and relationship-building activities.
Develop and maintain partnerships with high school counselors, community colleges, and local organizations to expand awareness and prospective student pipelines.
Conduct high school visits, attend college fairs, and host regional information sessions.
 

Prospect and Applicant Engagement 
Counsel prospective students and families through the admissions process with personalized, responsive communication.
Use the university's CRM and admissions platforms to monitor inquiries, applications, and conversions.
Provide accurate, detailed information regarding academic programs, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities.
 

Data and Enrollment Strategy Execution 
Track and analyze territory-specific recruitment data to evaluate performance and inform future strategies.
Contribute regional insights to inform annual goal setting and strategic enrollment planning.
Maintain accurate and timely records of all recruitment activity and communications within the CRM.
 

Campus Integration and Coordination 
Collaborate with the campus admissions team to ensure seamless communication, data flow, and applicant processing.
Participate in key on-campus and regional events such as Preview Days, Admitted Student Days, and outreach receptions.
 

Professional Development and Institutional Representation 
Stay informed on recruitment and college-choice trends affecting the assigned market.
Represent UT Southern with professionalism and brand consistency in all regional engagements.
