Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand patients' unique histories and needs, developing personalized treatment plans that are tailored to their requirements.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions using various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices, thus equipping clients with practical skills to manage their mental health conditions.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that promote understanding of mental health issues and foster a supportive community among participants.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coherent care management, including regular case consultations and treatment adjustments based on patient feedback.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, connecting clients with necessary resources and services.
• Educate clients about mental health conditions, available treatments, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently for streamlined processes.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending training sessions, contributing to case reviews, and staying informed on new developments in the mental health field.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess current and valid licensure (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) for the state of New York.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities is essential.
• Strong skills in conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and delivering therapy in individual and group settings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
• Ability to maintain professional ethics and boundaries while demonstrating sound judgment in clinical situations.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive annual salary ranging from $52,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
